Staying in Mellieħa and want to book a Blue Lagoon boat trip?
I’ll explain how, from where, and what the best options are.
Mellieħa is located in the northern region of Malta Island. Just 5-10 minutes away from the heart of the seaside town, you’ll find the Ċirkewwa and Marfa ferry terminals, which tour company operators use as their departure points for boat trips to Comino.
Since Ċirkewwa and il-Marfa are part of Mellieħa, you can get to both terminals relatively quickly, compared to other localities on the island.
Especially if you’re staying close to Mellieħa Bay, you can technically head there on foot to get to your Blue Lagoon boat trip departure point. Since our summers are scorchingly hot, I recommend using either of the following modes of transport:

One of the best things about private boat tours to the Blue Lagoon is that the itinerary is fully customisable to your liking, and you can have a quieter experience at this stunning bay. You’ll be accompanied by a knowledgeable skipper who’ll be happy to share their knowledge of Malta and take you to beaches and small caves only accessible by private boats.
What’s more, this half-day private boat tour will provide you with all the snorkelling equipment to get a glimpse of the incredible marine life and the hidden coves of the underwater world.
* Additional fees apply if you are more than 6.
