Interested in visiting Malta’s Blue Lagoon? You’ve come to the right place!
Although some travellers opt to get from the main island to the Blue Lagoon with the ferry services, others seek organised boat tours for a more hassle-free and comfortable journey. That’s where I come in!
I created this local expert guide to showcase only tried-and-tested boat trips with the best prices, positive review stats, perks, and availability.
Since Malta’s Blue Lagoon is one of the most popular destinations on the Maltese Islands, it attracts many visitors throughout the summer.
If you’re using the Blue Lagoon ferry services at the Ċirkewwa/Marfa harbour — located at the northernmost part of the island — you need to think ahead, especially if you’re using public transport to get there. Additionally, taking an early ferry is essential if you want to secure a spot on the beach and an access ticket to set foot on shore (which isn’t necessary if you just want to swim and relax on a boat).
You can weigh the pros and cons here: How to Get to the Blue Lagoon.
With this in mind, boat trips to the Blue Lagoon are the preferred option for most travellers. Here’s why:
Located within walking distance of many hotels and accommodations in the area, Sliema Ferries is the main departure point of all boat trips departing from Sliema, and the most convenient departure point if you’re staying in St. Julian’s, and even Valletta (which is a short 10-minute ferry ride away from Sliema).
