Blue Lagoon Boat Trips from St. Julian’s: 4 Best Options

Staying in St. Julian’s and want to book a Blue Lagoon day trip by boat?

Unfortunately, no tour operators offer that option there. However, you can join your preferred boat trip from Sliema (at Sliema Ferries), a neighbouring town to St. Julian’s, and I’ll explain how to get there.

Check out this complete guide below for tips and local advice.

Getting to the Sliema Ferries Terminal from St. Julian’s

Since St. Julian’s is Sliema’s neighbouring town, the distance between them is relatively short; you can even enjoy a 30-minute walk along the promenade that connects the two if you fancy it. Of course, you can also make use of transportation options:

  • By Bus: Use the following routes from various bus stops located in St. Julian’s: 13, 13A, 14, 16, 211, 212, 222, and 225 (approx. 10 – 15 mins)
  • Taxi: Download the following apps to your phone (Bolt, Uber or Ecabs) to book a taxi ride. You can expect to pay anything between €5 and €7. (5-10 min)

Tips from a Local 📝

  • Visitors booking day trips are generally advised to arrive 20 – 30 minutes before the tour departs.
  • Alongside your swimsuit and sun essentials, bring a snorkel mask. Comino’s a great place to marvel at the incredible marine life, caves and other hidden treasures beneath the waves.
  • Generally, you can bring your own food and drinks. In fact, some companies even offer ice coolers on board that you can use. However, it’s always best to review the T&Cs or ask the tour company directly.
  • While boat tours from Sliema usually cost around €30-€89 per person, the added benefit of booking an organised day trip to a place like the Blue Lagoon is that you can enjoy a more tranquil atmosphere, away from the crowded shores.
