Tips from a Local 📝

  • You’re spoiled for choice with the number of tours suitable for various visitors: families, groups of friends, solo travellers, etc. Review options and make sure you book the right tour that works for you and your budget.
  • Note that if you plan to set foot on shore, you need to register on blcomino.com for a free access pass. This is required to regulate crowds and ultimately protect Comino’s ecosystems. If you’re staying on board the boat, you do not need an access pass. More info here: Blue Lagoon Tickets – How to Get Access.
  • It’s a good idea to book your preferred boat tour in advance, just in case it gets booked up by the time you decide to reserve a spot.
  • Don’t forget your sun essentials. The weather is scorching hot during the peak summer months, so it’s always best to pack a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock, preferably with at least SPF 50.
  • Besides your swimsuit and flip-flops, bring a snorkel mask – the Crystal Lagoon in particular is a great spot for divers and snorkellers.
  • Most tours operate between May and October, but since Malta enjoys over 300 days of sunshine every year, some operators organise tours during the winter months (weather permitting).
